The Parent Board has overall control of and responsibility for the conduct of the business of the Group. The CHG Board exercises its control functions through the medium of the Board and Committee structure which comprises the following:

Responsibilities of the Parent Board of Management:

The Parent Board is in particular responsible for:

  • Setting goals, values and vision for the Group
  • Business planning
  • Policy and Strategy
  • Constitutional issues
  • Governance
  • Undertaking risk assessment
  • Investment policy for stock, people and other assets
  • Treasury management and Borrowing
  • Financial parameters (budget constraints) Budget setting/approval
  • Reallocation of surpluses
  • Audit
  • Monitoring the performance of the Subsidiaries
  • Maintaining a Group-wide consultants and contractors panel based on the recommendations of the Subsidiaries
  • Framework for staffing and deployment of resources
  • Identify, interview, monitor and appraise Board Members
  • Monitoring the performance of the Group Chief Executive
